There are many options these days for sending a video condolence from your family to family or friends.

1) Skype – Skype isn’t just for video chatting. You can use it to send video messages as well. If the person you want to chat with isn’t online, you simply need to click the video message button to record and send a video greeting up to 3 minutes long.

2) Facebook – If you both have Facebook, sending a video message is easy. To do this, open the messages app and select the person you want to start a conversation with. Tap Attach. Choose the camera to start recording a video or attach one you’ve already recorded. Then tap Send.

You can also upload the video to a storage cloud space such as Google Drive where it can be easily downloaded. This works well if you have a larger video.

5) American Greetings – The American Greetings website has lots of free sympathy ecards you can send. If you want to send something on the lighter side, they have cards you can personalize. Supply some information about the recipient such as likes and hobbies, and the website will generate a personalized card for them.

6) Animoto Video Cards – Add photos and videos to create an animated digital card. You must be a member to make cards, but there is a free option that you can use.
